Heat tolerance for aboniki balm varies from person to person.

Always start with a very small amount on the affected area, especially if you are newly introduced to this balm.Do not use on mucous membranes (inside nostrils, eyes, mouth, etc) until you know your personal tolerance to its high heat levels. Applying anywhere on the face will cause a harmless burning sensation and the eyes to water. This too shall pass. If using bare hands to apply, be careful not to touch eyes, nose or other sensitive areas after application before thoroughly washing hands with soap and water, and preferably lubricating with oil-based cream.
